Children's Privacy Notice

This notice is for parents and guardians of students under 13. Creator Hub is run by theCoderSchool, a coding centre for children aged 7–14, and is used only by students enrolled at the centre and by its staff.
What we collect
- First and last name — typed at sign-up, or entered by the centre.
- Username — the sign-in name. It is not an email address and no email is collected from the child.
- Display name and public handle — a name the child picks (moderated) and a handle the site
generates, like
@BraveOtter42. - Avatar — an icon, colour and any earned frame or background chosen from a set. A photo is optional and off by default: it is possible only when the centre has switched photos on and has recorded your written permission, and a coach reviews it before any classmate sees it. It is never analysed for faces.
- Roblox username — optional, only if the child is in a course with Robux rewards.
- Lesson progress and XP — which lessons are finished and the points earned.
- Last-active time and a coach note written by staff about progress.
- Display settings (colour, theme, text size, motion, sound) and achievements earned by finishing lessons.
- Consent record — how and when consent was given and the form's reference number, never your name or email.
- Order record, only if you buy a course online through Stripe: the course, amount, date, Stripe reference and your (the payer's) email. Online purchase is not switched on today.
Why we collect it
- To sign the child in and keep their work saved across computers.
- To let a coach see whose work is whose and help the child.
- To show progress, ranks and certificates, and to pay rewards to the right Roblox account.
- To spot and remove inactive accounts.
We do not use the data for advertising, do not run analytics or trackers, and do not sell or share it. The only third party involved is Google (Firebase / Google Cloud, in the United States), which stores the data for us, and Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise, which protects the site from automated abuse.

There is no chat, no public profile, and nothing is visible outside the child's own class.
Consent
Consent is obtained from a parent or guardian on the centre's paper enrollment form before the first session. A student account is created only for an enrolled child. The form is kept on paper at the centre.
Your rights
At any time you can ask, in person at the centre, to:
- see what is stored about your child;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete the account and all its progress;
- withdraw consent, which ends the child's use of the site.
Deletion removes the account, its progress and its rewards record, and leaves an anonymised receipt with no name in it. See Data & deletion for the details and the Retention policy for how long things are kept.
