Block 1: Recap + warmup (5 min)

Quick prompt: "Show your neighbor your tallest block from yesterday."

Settles the room and reminds them where they left off.

Block 2: Stage 3 (45 min)

Reference: Stage 3: Plank Walkway.

Goal for the room: three long thin planks with a rest stop in the middle, plus a 4th checkpoint.

What to say at the start:

"This is the first stage where shape matters more than height. Long thin planks are scary to walk on — that's the point. We'll add a rest stop in the middle so you can pause."

Watch for:

  • Kids who make planks too wide (defeats the purpose) — show them [2, 1, 21].
  • Fast kids → Try this next (especially the CanCollide trick — kids love that one).
  • Common stuck point: placing planks at different heights instead of all flat. The rest stop should be flat. Tip them gently to align by setting all Y-positions to the same number.

Transition cue: room has working walkway → straight into Stage 4 (no break — that comes after).

Block 3: Stage 4 (35 min)

Reference: Stage 4: KillBrick Path.

Goal for the room: straight path with KillBricks imported from Toolbox and placed.

What to say at the start:

"Now we're using the Toolbox for the first time. The Toolbox is full of pre-made parts other people have built. We'll import a KillBrick — touch it and you respawn at the last checkpoint."

Watch for:

  • First Toolbox import is where things go sideways. Make sure they switch the filter to Creator and search for 55hpmonk. There are lots of imitations.
  • Some kids will add 30 KillBricks because they're cool — totally fine, but watch they leave a safe path through.

Transition cue: room has working KillBricks → break.

Block 4: Break (10 min)

Snacks, movement. Phone-free if possible.

Block 5: Stage 5 (40 min)

Reference: Stage 5: Fireball Footpath.

Goal for the room: path with at least 3 FireballCannons aimed across it.

What to say at the start:

"Same Toolbox-import trick as Stage 4, but this time it's a FireballCannon. Cannons shoot fireballs at regular intervals — you have to time when to walk through."

Watch for:

  • Cannons placed pointing away from the path — players will never get hit. Show them how to rotate in Properties or with the rotate handle in Studio.
  • Fast kids → Stretch (Medium): build a curvy path with cannons at corners.

Transition cue: room has working Stage 5 → peer playtest.

Block 6: Peer playtest swap (30 min)

Goal: every kid plays at least 2 classmates' Obbies (stages 1-5 of their build).

What to say:

"Same as yesterday — swap, play, give one compliment and one observation."

Watch for:

  • Kids whose checkpoints don't bind correctly across stages — common bug when they forgot to uncheck AutoAssignable on a later team. Fix it now, before it bites them later in the week.

Block 7: Wrap + reflection (15 min)

Round-robin: "One thing that surprised me today was…"

Preview Day 3: "Tomorrow's stages have mines, boulders, and spinners. The fun stages."
